Who We Are
Our Mission
To have a home where your horse is comfortable and secure by the consistency in care we provide.
Having a large facility allows for minimized congestion so you have a relaxed place to enjoy your horse.
Teresa Hough - owner, stall mucker, giver of horse treats and nose kisses
I’ve owned and managed a 30‑stall facility, giving me firsthand experience in what it takes to keep both horses and their owners happy.
My connection to horses began in childhood—first for pure enjoyment, and later, in my twenties, through rodeo. I competed in roping and barrel racing, and when I stepped away from rodeos, I continued with competitive barrel racing. My experience with horses runs deep, yet I believe there’s always something new to learn.
Originally from Alaska, I eventually returned home to Maine, where I graduated from USM. I now work remotely for a mutual fund administration company, which allows me the flexibility to enjoy the equestrian life I love. I’m also an active member of the Maine NBHA (National Barrel Horse Association) and the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association).
Our stable’s name has a special meaning. My husband is a private pilot, and his plane is a taildragger. We thought it was the perfect way to combine his love of flying with my passion for horses.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing this journey.
We are a full‑service boarding stable dedicated to providing exceptional care for both horses and their owners. Our peaceful, consistent atmosphere creates the perfect environment for you to enjoy quality time with your horse.
While we do not offer an in‑house lesson program, we work with trusted outside instructors who provide lessons with your own horse. If you’d like to haul in for instruction, we’d be happy to connect you.
Please note that we do not offer trail riding.
We invite you to explore our website and, if you’re in the area, stop by to say hello. We love sharing our facility and look forward to meeting you.
