Who We Are

Taildragger Stables is a true family operation. For the past six years, my husband and I have owned and managed our 20‑stall facility, combining our strengths to create a place where horses and their owners feel at home. I oversee daily barn management and horse care, while my husband handles all facility maintenance and manages the haying operation that keeps our horses well‑fed year‑round.

My connection to horses began in childhood and grew into competitive rodeo in my twenties, where I competed in roping and barrel racing. Even after stepping away from rodeo, I continued barrel racing competitively and remain an active member of the Maine NBHA and AQHA. Horses have shaped my life, and even with decades of experience, I believe there’s always more to learn.

After having grown up in Alaska, I eventually returned home to Maine. Today, I work remotely for a global financial services provider, which allows me the flexibility to enjoy the equestrian life I love.

In addition to his day job as a General Contractor, my husband is the backbone of our operation — handling all facility maintenance, repairs, improvements, and our entire haying program. If something needs fixing, building, or baling, he’s the one making it happen. His aviation background inspired our name: Taildragger Stables, a nod to his taildragger aircraft and the partnership behind our barn. 

Together, we’ve built Taildragger Stables into a place where community, horsemanship, and quality care come first.
